Red Beans and Brown Rice

Ingredients:

1 Cup of Brown rice
1 Teaspoon of avocado oil
1 medium white onion
1 ½ of New Orleans MGK Organic Seasoning
1 Bay Leaf

Directions:

Soak Beans overnight

In a large saucepan of 2 cups of water, cook rice. 

Put the soaked beans in a large saucepan adding about 3 1/2 cups of water and New Orleans MGK seasoning, bring to a boil on high heat. 

Cover; reduce heat then add onions, bay leaf, meats and more New Orleans MGK seasoning to your liking.

Stir beans, using the back of your cooking spoon smash some of the beans to slightly thickened 

Allow beans to cook down for about 40 mins. 

Serve immediately, topped with rice and garnished with parsley, if desired.
